As reported June 14 the latest Opera Mini advances mobile browsing by allowing users to zoom in on a Web page and view a site as it's meant to be viewed. The zoom feature (see gallery at left) is based on what Opera developed for the Nintendo Wii. When zooming the Mini allows you to navigate a page with simple scrolling. I have used the latest Mini browser for a few days on a loaner phone and it's infinitely better than the usual IE-based mobile browsing. Unfortunately, the browser isn't available on my Verizon Wireless Motorola Q. Opera's statement outlines the details of the Mini, code-named Dimension. Techmeme...
